1. India Visa has five sub-categories: India Tourist Visa (for 30 days/ One year & Five years), India-Business Visa, India Medical Visa, India Medical Attendant Visa, and India Conference Visa. A foreigner (other than those applying for an Indian Conference Visa) can participate in certain club events. Foreigners seeking an Indian Conference visa can combine the activities allowed under the Tourist permit (validity co-terminus with Indian Conference Visa only, i.e., 30 days). A maximum of two Indian Medical Attendant Visas will be issued per Indian Medical Visa.

2 . Applicants from eligible countries/territories may apply online for an India Tourist Visa or India Business visa four days before arrival.

3 . Applicants from eligible countries/territories may apply online for an India Medical visa, India Medical Attendant Visa, or India Conference visa four days before the date of arrival, with a window of 120 days. For instance, if an application is submitted on 1 September, the applicant may specify an arrival date between 5 September and 2 January.

5 . The applicant must upload a recent front-facing photograph with a white background and the photo page of their passport with personal information such as their name, date of birth, nationality, and expiration date. Depending on the type of India Visa, an additional document may also be required to be uploaded. The application may be rejected if the uploaded documents and photographs are clear and follow the requirements.

6 . The India Visa charge varies by country or territory. The fee must be paid four days before the anticipated travel date. Otherwise, the application will not be processed. Please apply now to determine the charge applicable to your country/territory.

7 . Once submitted, the India Visa cost is non-refundable, as it is for application processing and is not contingent on the issuance or denial of electronic travel authorization (ETA).

8 . The applicant must carry a copy of their Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) at travel time. Please ensure your ETA status is displayed as “GRANTED” on this page before travel. By choosing VisaStatus, applicants can check the status of their application online.

9 . Upon arriving in India, the applicant’s biometric data must be recorded at Immigration.

10 . India Visa cannot be extended, converted, or used to enter Protected/Restricted and Cantonment Zones. To access Protected/Restricted/Cantonment areas, you must first obtain authorization from the Civil Authority. Please click here for more information.

11 . Due to technical reasons or network difficulties, the India Visa fee payment status update may take up to 2 hours. Therefore, before reapplying, applicants must wait two hours for the payment status to be updated following the final submission of the application form and Payment of the application fee. When the Visa fee has been deducted but the position has yet to be changed, applicants should verify their payment status by clicking on the ‘Verify Payment/Pay Visa Fee’ page or the link Verify Payment.

12 . Nationals of Yellow Fever-affected countries or travelers traveling from these countries must present a YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CARD upon arrival in India; otherwise, they may be confined for six days upon the arrival. 13 . You must travel with the passport used to apply for an India Visa. Even though ETA has been issued on the old access, entry into India will be permitted on the new Visa; nevertheless, the tourist must carry the old passport on which ETA was issued.

Each type of India Visa includes a list of the required documents for the application. Please have these documents readily available before commencing your visa application.

 All documentation, including business cards and invitation letters, must be in English; otherwise, the application is subject to rejection. It may take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete the application and make Payment. Suppose the sports event involves travel to Restricted or Protected Areas in India. In that case, the following supplementary documents must also be submitted: (a) Approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, to hold the event.
(b) Political Approval from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, to host the event.
(c) Approval from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports

The digital photograph that must be uploaded with the visa application must satisfy the following criteria:

4. Photographs must depict the subject’s entire face, and front perspective, with eyes open and without glasses.
