What are the various types of Indian visas?

Visitors to India can apply for one of five separate visa classes online. Select the relevant access point depending on your visit’s purpose and nationality.

To apply for any types of Indian visas, applicants must submit a completed application form and a scanned copy of their passport’s information page. The state of the access must be excellent. In addition, the key must have at least six months of validity remaining and two blank pages.

 

Tourist Visa

This Tourist visa is available to foreign travelers who wish to visit India for tourism, family or friend visits, or to participate in a yoga or meditation retreat.

Applicants for this visa may apply for a one-month, one-year, or five-year visa. The one-month visa allows a single entry for up to 30 days, whereas the one-year and five-year visas allow multiple entries. Each stay may be at most ninety days. You can extend your stay for 180 days if you’re from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, or Japan.

 

Medical Visa

The medical visa permits people of specified nationalities several medical treatment entries into India. This visa allows three entries into the country and is valid for sixty days from the date of the first arrival.

In addition to submitting a scan of their passport, applicants for this visa must also submit a letter from an Indian hospital that includes their personal information.

 

 

Medical Attendant Visa

The Medical Attendant Visa is accessible to relatives traveling with an India Medical Visa-holding patient. This visa is offered to up to two passengers per patient, who must provide a copy of the hospital letter and visa application.

Visas are valid for up to three entries and sixty days from the date of the first entry.

 

 

Business Visa

This visa is for business travelers who wish to visit India. Business tickets are valid for one year and allow multiple admissions for up to 180 days per visit.

This visa may be used for recruiting employees, creating a company, or any other business-related activity. In addition to their passport, applicants must submit a photo of their business card or a letter of invitation from a company with a presence in India.

 

 

Emergency X-Misc Visa

This visa was intended for those who immediately need to leave their country but still need to meet the initial conditions.

Afghans are the primary beneficiaries of this visa. They may apply for this visa to expedite their exit from the country. This visa grants Afghans a six-month stay in India but does not authorize employment. During these six months, their qualifications are examined and depending on their circumstances, applicants may extend their stay or amend their immigration status.
