India Visa Application Guidelines : India Visa applications can be submitted electronically. 2014 marked the introduction of the E Visa India initiative by the Indian government. Initially, the E Visa India was issued briefly, allowing tourists to enter the country twice each calendar year.

Today, E Visa India is issued for one month with a single entry, one year with multiple entries, and five years with numerous entries. Around 160 countries have been granted the privilege of obtaining an E Visa in India.

E Visa India permits entry at 28 recognized airports and five authorized seaports. Nonetheless, the candidate has the option to leave any of the ICPS ( Indian Immigration Check Posts)

The application process for an India E Visa is so simple that applicants can apply online and pay online. Once approval is granted, the support is sent to the applicant’s email address. E Visa must be printed before travel and carried with the applicant’s passport.

3. What visa requirements for India are necessary to apply for an E Visa to India?

At the time of travel to India, the passport must have a validity of atleast six months to apply for an E-Visa. Before traveling to India, a ticket must have at least two blank pages. Each applicant, including newborns, must possess a valid foreign passport to apply for an E-Visa to India.

4. Exclusions from E Visa India

Applicants of Pakistani descent or possessing a Pakistani passport are ineligible to apply for an E Visa to India.

Candidates with paternal or maternal parents or grandparents born in Pakistan are ineligible for the E Visa to India.

Permanent Pakistani residents are ineligible to apply for an E Visa to India.

Applicants holding a valid Diplomatic/ Official Passport or Laissez-passer are ineligible to apply for an E Visa to India.

Candidates holding an International Identification or Temporary Travel Document are ineligible to submit an E-Visa application to India.

Candidates whose name is on their parent’s passport and who do not have their passport may apply for an Indian E Visa.

5. How long is the e-Visa for India valid?

The validity of an e-Visa India is provided with varying durations depending on the applicant’s requirements and the reason for travel to India.

E-Tourist Visa (One year / Five years), the validity is given 365 days / 05 years from the date of approval of E-visa India, which allows Multiple entry and continuous stay during each visit not exceeding 90 days except for citizens of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan. In addition, e-visa allows nationals of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan to stay continuously during each visit for up to 180 days.

E-Tourist Visa (30 days) will be valid thirty days from the date of issuance. The applicant’s first arrival must occur between the date of ETA issuance and expiration. Multiple entries are permitted during the e-Visa validity term indicated on the applicant’s passport. The applicant is entitled to stay in India for up to 30 days, with double entries beginning upon arrival.

E-Business Visa, the validity will be issued for 365 days from the date of approval of E Visa India, which has Multiple entries. The applicant is permitted a continuous stay during each visit, at most 180 days. Registration is optional if the stay time is less than 180 days. If the applicant intends to stay longer than 180 days, they must register with the FRRO/FRO (https://indianfrro.gov.in) within two weeks of the expiration of the 180 days.

E-Conference Visa will be valid 30 days from admission into India, with a single entry.

E-Medical Visa, the validity will be 60 days from the date of initial arrival in India, and triple entrance will be permitted within the e-Visa validity period inscribed on the applicant’s passport.

6. When should I apply for an India E Visa?

Eligible countries/territories applicants may apply for e-Tourist Visa (01 year / 05 years), e-Business Visa, e-Medical, e-Medical Attendant, and e-Conference Visa online at least seven days before their travel date to India. This E-visa India application can be submitted 120 days before the intended travel date.

Applicants from eligible countries/territories can apply for an e-Tourist Visa to India, valid for 30 days with a single entry at least seven days before their arrival date. This E-Visa India application can be submitted 30 days before departure.
